Louise Blankensteijn currently serves as a Business Development Manager in Life Sciences & Health at Invest-NL since June 2023, while also pursuing a PhD in plastic and reconstructive surgery at VUmc School of Medical Sciences since June 2021, focusing on surgical treatment of rectus diastasis. Prior experience includes roles as ANIOS in surgery and plastic surgery at Amsterdam UMC and Diakonessenhuis, as well as ANIOS in surgery at Flevoziekenhuis. Additional experience as a Research Fellow in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, coupled with various clinical roles during medical training. Louise holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Groningen and completed a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in 2018.
