Niels H. has a long and varied work experience. In 2014, they held an Internship at CHU Brugmann, where they worked on a web platform that automated the process of extracting, processing and templating of complex sleep data. Niels also held a Student Work position at OSG, where they were responsible for application virtualization testing on proprietary software. Later that year, they began working as a Software Security Engineer at DHL. In 2017, they became a Cybersecurity Freelancer at ironPeak services and a Founder at venclave. In 2018, they began working as a Cybersecurity Architect at DHL and a Cybersecurity Consultancy at KBC Bank & Verzekering, where they were a member of the WebSecurity team and lead SDLC SPoC for Web & Mobile. Niels also worked as a Security Trainer at Westcon, where they were an F5 certified technical trainer, presales & consultant. In 2020, they became the Head of Security at Intigriti, and in 2021, they became the Founder of IRON Security.

Niels H. has a Bachelor of Applied IT in Network and System Administration/Administrator from UC Leuven-Limburg, which they obtained between 2012 and 2015. Niels also holds certifications from CrowdStrike, CompTIA, SentinelOne, F5 Networks, eLearnSecurity, and Bournemouth University, as well as Cisco CCNA 1-4 from Cisco & Katholieke Hogeschool Leuven and membership with the OWASP Foundation.
