Pietro Calafiore is an experienced financial professional currently serving as Chief Credit Officer at Intesa Sanpaolo since January 2022. Prior to this role, Pietro held the position of Head of Credit Underwriting at CIB Bank from September 2018 to December 2021. Pietro's career at Intesa Sanpaolo began in December 2010, during which time responsibilities included leading the Underwriting Office and managing credit risk for international subsidiaries. Pietro also contributed to cross-border due diligence efforts and engaged in international teaching on credit risk. Earlier experience includes working as an Associate Consultant at KPMG Advisory, focusing on M&A and valuation, as well as serving as a Senior Auditor in KPMG Italy's Financial Institutions Group.
