Simon Hunkin is an experienced policy expert specializing in greener and connected Europe initiatives. Currently serving as Thematic Expert at Interreg Europe since February 2018, Simon engages with local and regional policymakers to enhance policy instruments and frameworks through the Policy Learning Platform. In addition, Simon has been involved with Greenovate! Europe since March 2012 as a Thematic Expert in low-carbon economy, where responsibilities include monitoring policies, coordinating project proposals, and facilitating collaboration among member organizations. Previous roles at the House of Commons encompassed policy management and communications, while early career efforts involved campaigning for electoral reforms with Yes to Fairer Votes. Simon Hunkin holds an MA in European Studies from King's College London and a BA in History from the University of Exeter.
