Ingrid Gercama is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in feature writing, news reporting, and multimedia production, currently working as a journalist for various prestigious publications including NRC Handelsblad, De Groene Amsterdammer, and Süddeutsche Zeitung since 2015. Ingrid also contributes as a freelance journalist covering foreign news, environment, and science. As a researcher and anthropologist, Ingrid specializes in conflict, the environment, and migration, with a track record of working in diverse (post)conflict settings globally. Additional roles include advising for Internews, serving as a fellow for the International Women's Media Foundation, and leading investigative research for the International Press Institute. Ingrid holds multiple degrees from the University of Amsterdam, including a Master of Science in International Development Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies.
