Israel Rosas is the current Director, Partnerships & Internet Development at the Internet Society. Israel has extensive experience in the field of internet policy and governance, having served as an Internet Policy Analyst at the Presidencia de la República in Mexico from October 2014 to July 2018. In this role, they provided advice on internet governance and policy issues at the local, regional, and global levels. Israel was also a member of the 2016 Organizing Committee for the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and the representative for the CSTD Working Group on Enhanced Cooperation (WGEC). Additionally, they served as a guest policy analyst for the IETF from 95.
Prior to their work in internet policy, Rosas was an Analysis Engineer at XEIPN Canal Once de Televisión Once TV México from March 2011 to September 2014, where they provided advice and guidance on regulatory issues.
Israel Rosas has a degree in telecommunications and electronics engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Israel also has a certification from LinkedIn in How to Make Strategic Thinking a Habit, Leading and Motivating People with Different Personalities, and Holding Your Team Accountable.
