Environmental Engineer-intern at International Water Management Institute (IWMI)

Alina Alam possesses extensive experience in engineering and research, specializing in various sectors including energy and water management. Currently, Alina is a Battery Engineer at XALT Energy since January 2017. Concurrently, Alina serves as an Environmental Engineer Intern at the International Water Management Institute, contributing to irrigation system operations and water delivery performance. Previous roles include Amtrak Station Engineer at RLE INTERNATIONAL Group, where efficiency improvements were made for passenger boarding systems, and Research and Development Engineer at Energy Power Systems LLC and Shanghai Nuclear Research Design Institute, focusing on battery-cell life and nuclear reactor components, respectively. Alina's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Biological and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor's Degree in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan.
