Tatenda Murigo is currently serving as the FASBMB Region Communications Officer at the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, focusing on events and workshops for Africans in academia, alongside maintaining digital media archives and outreach efforts. As a founding member of the Trainee Initiative Leadership Committee, Tatenda represents Africa in collaboration with researchers globally to enhance science engagement. Additional roles include Ambassador for Communications and Public Affairs at the Journal of Science Policy & Governance and Executive Committee Member at the Biochemistry and Molecular Society of Zimbabwe, advocating for student interests. Tatenda leads the AfCFTA project for the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers in Harare, promotes youth engagement in policy, and serves as a Youth Drone Instructor with Zimbabwe Flying Labs. Academic experience includes various memberships in professional organizations and a Bachelor of Science Honours in Biochemistry from the University of Zimbabwe.
