Vice Team Lead: Policy Working Group, Digital Currency Global Initiaitve at International Telecommunication Union

Marc Liberati has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Marc is currently serving as the Vice Team Lead of the Policy Working Group at the International Telecommunication Union, focusing on digital currency and consumer protection. Prior to that, they held positions as the Policy Pillar Team Lead at the United Nations Volunteers and as a Programme Specialist at the same organization. Marc has also worked as a Legal Consultant at The African Legal Support Facility and at PUBLIC UTILITY LAW PROJECT OF NEW YORK INC. Additionally, they have held roles as a Programme Officer at UNDP, a Research Associate at Financial Standards Foundation, a Law Clerk at the U.S. Department of Commerce, and a Commercial Assistant at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Marc Liberati earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2001. Marc later pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the American University Washington College of Law from 2005 to 2008, specializing in Law.

In addition to their formal education, Marc Liberati obtained various certifications to enhance their skill set. Marc acquired certifications in "Designing and Building AI Products and Services" from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2022, "Analytics and Decision-Making: Unlock the Power of Data" from Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business in 2020, "Policy Coherence for Sustainable Development" and "Anti-Corruption in the Context of the 2030 Agenda" from the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) in 2020, "Legal Technology and Operations" from Bucerius Law School in 2019, and "Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application" from MIT Sloan Executive Education in 2019.
