Vito Frank Leonardo is an experienced statistician and data scientist with a strong background in model development and quantitative research within financial crime analytics. Currently serving as a VP, Model/Analysis/Validation Officer at Citi since August 2021, Vito focuses on machine learning model development for the NAM/LATAM Model Development and Transformation team. Prior roles include AVP, Model/Analysis/Validation Senior Analyst at Citi and Chairman of the Institutional Review Board at the International Socioeconomics Laboratory, where Vito led a team overseeing research proposal approvals and taught courses on statistical analysis. Vito has also contributed to academic research as a Principal Investigator, supervised teams at North Carolina State University, and worked as a research assistant at Queens College, emphasizing data analysis and econometric modeling. Vito holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Queens College.
