Amanda Catanzano is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy development and advocacy within the humanitarian and national security sectors. Currently serving as the Vice President of Global Policy & Solutions at the International Rescue Committee since September 2016, Amanda leads efforts to elevate global humanitarian issues, protect access in conflict zones, and uphold international humanitarian law through strategic engagement with Congress, the Executive Branch, and various UN agencies. Prior roles include co-founding 2River Consulting Group, where Amanda shaped its direction and growth, and serving at the National Security Council and the U.S. Department of State, providing strategic analysis and guidance on international policy matters, particularly in South and Central Asia. Amanda's earlier experience at Booz Allen Hamilton involved managing analytical teams focused on national security and defense. Amanda holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Affairs from The Johns Hopkins University and a Master's Degree in U.S. Foreign Policy and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
