Mary Kay Ballasiotes is an experienced executive and advocate in pediatric stroke awareness and treatment. As the Executive Director and Founder of the International Alliance for Pediatric Stroke since September 2011, Mary Kay leads a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the diagnosis and management of pediatric stroke. In addition to this role, Mary Kay serves on the board of the International Pediatric Stroke Organization and has been a volunteer advocate for the American Heart Association since 2005, where responsibilities have included public speaking and participation in international forums. Mary Kay has also managed projects for the Child Neurology Foundation and served on boards such as the World Stroke Organization and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. With a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington, Mary Kay combines strong leadership skills with a commitment to enhancing patient-centered care in neurology and stroke research.
