Cynthia Leon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in government relations and policy advocacy. Currently serving as a Senior Regional Manager and Government Relations Western Regional Manager at International Paper since September 2011, Cynthia has previously held key roles including Policy Director at the California Manufacturers & Technology Association from April 2007 to August 2011, where advocacy on labor and employment issues was a significant focus. Cynthia also served as Legislative Director and Chief of Staff for Assemblywoman Nicole Parra from November 2003 to March 2007, managing legislative analysis and district operations respectively. Earlier experience includes a role as Personal Assistant in the Office of Governor Gray Davis and as a Field Representative for Flex Your Power. Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, earned in 2001.
