Simon Mathew Kafu is a seasoned professional in project management and environmental consulting with extensive experience in community resilience, disaster risk management, and environmental assessments. Currently serving as Project Officer for Community Resilience and National Project Officer (Emergency and Disaster Management) at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) since April 2014, Simon focuses on enhancing community adaptation to climate change and mitigating forced migration impacts. Previous roles include Project Environmental Consultant at Quality Environmental Services (PNG) and Special Projects- Environment & GIS Specialist at the Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock. Simon holds a Master of Science in International Humanitarian Affairs from the University of York and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of Papua New Guinea.
