Asanga U. Ranasinghe is a highly experienced professional in the field of program management and consultancy, currently serving as a Program Officer at IOM Myanmar since February 2024 and at IOM - UN Migration since October 2020. Previous roles include Lead Consultant in Governance at Marga Institute and Founder of STAMPEDE, an initiative aimed at preventing future inequality exacerbated by technology. Asanga has also contributed as a Visiting Lecturer at SLIDA, Consultant for Sustainable Human Development & Innovation at VENTURE BEYOND, and Team Lead at Americares, overseeing emergency and early recovery responses. Earlier experience includes positions as Senior Management Consultant at MDF Training & Consultancy and Grants Manager at Plan International, as well as Programme Associate and Programme Coordinator at UNDP. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Development Studies and Public Policy and a Post Graduate Diploma in the same field, alongside an Advanced Diploma in Engineering Technology and a General Certificate of Education.
