Andinet Woldemichael is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in various esteemed organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund since July 2023, Andinet previously held multiple roles at the African Development Bank Group from July 2014 to August 2023, including Principal Research Economist, Senior Research Economist, and Consultant. Academic experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and a Ph.D. candidacy at Georgia State University, where Andinet earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics. Additional academic credentials include a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Economics from Addis Ababa University. Early career experience includes positions such as Assistant Researcher at the Ethiopian Economics Association and Junior Marketing Officer at the Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation, among others.
