Penuel Mwangi is a seasoned security professional currently serving as a Security and Risk Management Officer at International IDEA since June 2023, where responsibilities include providing security advice and operational support to regional and country offices across Africa and West Asia. Prior to this role, Penuel held several positions that enhanced expertise in safety and security management, including Global Security Officer at PATH International, where the focus was on developing duty of care policies and risk assessments, and Field Security Officer at CARE International, aiding country offices in implementing safety protocols. Additional experience includes serving as a Safety and Security Assistant at Save the Children International. Penuel holds a Master’s Degree in Governance, Peace and Security from Africa Nazarene University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Disaster Management and International Diplomacy from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.
