Paula Haro is an experienced professional in the fields of environmental sustainability and disaster risk management. Currently serving as a Senior Officer for Climate and Environment at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies since June 2023, Paula has previously held various roles, including Communications and Knowledge Management Intern at the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center and Sustainability Planner at Maroondah City Council. Earlier experience includes positions as a Sustainability Officer at Zoos Victoria and Environment and Sustainability Officer at Rottnest Island Authority, among others. Paula holds a Master of Science in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation from Lund University, a Master of International Community Development from Victoria University, and a Bachelor of Environmental Science with Honours from Curtin University.
