Riccardo Fabiani is an experienced professional in the field of geopolitical analysis, with a strong focus on North Africa. Currently serving as the Director of the North Africa Project at International Crisis Group since July 2019, Riccardo previously held roles including Geopolitical Analyst at Energy Aspects and Senior Analyst for North Africa at Eurasia Group. Riccardo's expertise spans multiple countries, including Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco, with a background in assessing political, security, economic, and commercial risks in the region. Riccardo's educational credentials include pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy at Durham University, an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and a joint BA/MA degree in Political Science from Università degli studi Roma TRE. Additionally, Riccardo has garnered experience through internships at Reuters and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
