Karim Lebhour is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Associate Director of Communications, Media and Social Media Strategy and Head of Communications and Outreach for North America at the International Crisis Group since January 2018. Prior to this role, Karim worked as North America Editor at Agence France-Presse, overseeing the editing and validation of news reports, and previously served as Chief Correspondent in Addis Ababa. Earlier experience includes positions as United Nations Correspondent and Middle East Correspondent at Radio France Internationale, as well as a media trainer for Internews Europe in Ramallah. Karim holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Ecole supérieure de journalisme de Lille and a Master’s degree in Political Science and Government from Sciences Po Grenoble, with additional studies at Trinity College Dublin.
