Shireen Patel is a UX Designer currently employed at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) since March 2024. Previously, Shireen held the position of Product Designer at KeelWorks Foundation from July 2023 to March 2024 and served as Lead UI Designer at Caim, a charity focused on animal rescue, in August 2023. Shireen's experience also includes working as a Grader for the Cross Disciplinary Communication Lab at the University of Maryland, a UX Designer for the Library of Congress, and a UX Researcher at Relativity. In academia, Shireen contributed to UX research at the College of Information Studies, University of Maryland, and interned as a Machine Learning Research Intern at Universiti Kuala Lumpur. Shireen holds a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Nirma University.
