Carlos Calderon-Ospina MD, MSc, PhD is an Associate Professor and Head of the Pharmacology Unit at Universidad del Rosario, active since July 2007. In addition to this role, Carlos is a researcher at the Center for Human Genetics Research at the university and serves as a Supporter for Cochrane, a member of several professional organizations including the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and the British Pharmacological Society. Carlos contributes to the international editorial committee of BMJ Case Reports and served as a Guest Editor for the journal Therapeutic Advances in Drug Safety. Carlos was a visiting professor at İnönü University in Turkey in October 2024 and previously held a postdoctoral researcher position at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Master's in Pharmacology, both obtained from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, along with an MD.
