A resident of Washington DC, Mr. Freedman is a retired founding partner of GRF CPAs & Advisors (formerly Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman CPAs) with than 50 years of experience in public accounting and expertise in nonprofit organizations. Among many board positions, he serves as a judge for the Center for Nonprofit Advancement/Excel award which acknowledges excellence in nonprofit leadership. He is also on the boards of N Street Village and Public Access Corporation of the District of Columbia. He has traveled extensively to Africa, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe and Russia for client audits, reviews, and consultations. He collects art and has previously served as IA&A’s Board chair from 2016-2018.
