Artemis Westenberg is an accomplished leader in both gender equality and space exploration, currently serving as a Board Member for the International Alliance of Women and CEO of Explore Mars Europe since May 2019. In their role at Explore Mars, Inc., Artemis focuses on establishing partnerships in Europe and the Far East to advance human colonization efforts on Mars by the 2030s. As president of the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Vrouwenbelangen, Vrouwenarbeid en Gelijk Staatsburgerschap, Artemis leads initiatives promoting gender equality and engages with government entities. Artemis held various leadership positions at The Mars Society, including Director of International Relations and Mission Director, where Artemis facilitated global dialogue on Mars exploration. With a solid educational background, including a Master's degree in History from Leiden University and an Associate's degree in General Management from Rotterdam School of Management, Artemis Westenberg combines strategic management experience with a commitment to empowering women and advancing space exploration initiatives.
