Princesa VanBuren Hansen has extensive experience in science education, program development, and environmental planning. Currently an instructor at Intermediate District #287, Francesa developed and administers the SciMent Science Research and Honors Mentor Connection programs, guiding high school students in scientific research projects. Previously, Francesa served as the Science Department Head and Advanced Science Research Teacher at Breck School, overseeing P-12 curriculum with an emphasis on inquiry-based education. Additional experience includes roles in environmental consulting, planning, and research across various organizations, such as the Minnesota Environmental Quality Board and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Francesa holds a B.S. in Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering and has completed a master's program in Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering.
