Richard Livsey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Richard is currently working at Intercom as a Staff Product Engineer, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to this, they were a Senior Product Engineer at Intercom from June 2018 to April 2021.

In 2015, Livsey founded MinuteBase and has been involved with the company ever since as its Founder. From May 2016 to May 2018, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Kayako.

Livsey also has experience as a Ruby Consultant at Livsey Consulting from May 2010 to May 2016. Before that, they worked as a Development Manager at Victor Chandler from March 2009 to April 2010. In this role, they successfully recruited and managed a new Rails development team.

From September 2006 to March 2009, Livsey served as the Head of Technology at CitySafe. Richard was responsible for setting technology strategy, system design, and architecture. In addition, they worked as a Freelance Consultant at CitySafe from February 2005 to March 2006, where they designed the system architecture for secure communication tools and managed offshore developers.

Prior to their work at CitySafe, Livsey worked as a Freelance Consultant at Exclusive Analysis from October 2004 to October 2005. Here, they led the development team of CREAM, an online risk model for forecasting violent and political risks.

Livsey began their career as an Internet Application Developer at Incutio from January 2002 to December 2004.

Richard Livsey attended Lancaster University from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a 2.1 degree in Computer Science. Richard later returned to Lancaster University in 2005 and completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management - E-Business & Innovation in 2006.
