Chirag Chadha has a strong background in machine learning engineering. Chirag started their career at Optum as a Graduate Machine Learning Engineer, where they worked on various projects related to genomics. During their time at Optum, Chirag filed six genomics machine learning patents with the U.S. patent office, which accounted for over 5% of UnitedHealth Group's entire patent portfolio in 2019.
After that, Chirag joined UL as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they brought three machine learning microservices to production. These microservices provided customers with safety and quality insights on their products. Additionally, they developed a Python package to create ML microservices based on config files and contributed to a package that offered data processing and ML inference functions/classes.
Chirag then transitioned to the role of a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at UL, where they acted as a team lead for the ML engineering team for six months. Chirag mentored data scientists and other developers on microservice deployment to Azure Kubernetes, REST API design and implementation, code structuring, and best practices in Python.
Most recently, Chirag joined Intercom as a Senior Product Engineer. In this role, they led the implementation of a new webhooks system that significantly increased the number of notifications the system could handle. Chirag also designed and implemented bulk data export capabilities, including a REST API and a no-code solution, to enable customers to store large amounts of conversation data in their S3 bucket.
Overall, Chirag Chadha has a proven track record in machine learning engineering, with experience in product development, system implementation, and mentoring.
Chirag Chadha completed their education at Trinity College Dublin. Chirag obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Science (BAI) degree in Biomedical Engineering from 2011 to 2015. Chirag then pursued further education and earned a Master of Engineering Science (MAI) degree in Biomedical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin from 2015 to 2016.
In addition to their formal education, Chirag Chadha has also obtained several certifications. Chirag completed the "Algorithms Part II" course from Coursera in April 2021 and the "Algorithms Part I" course from Coursera in March 2021. In January 2019, they completed the "Introduction to Genomic Technologies" course from Coursera. In November 2018, they completed the "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Deep Learning Specialization," and "Sequence Models" courses, also from Coursera. In October 2018, they completed the "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" course, and in September 2018, they completed the "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" course, both from Coursera. Chirag also completed the "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" course from Coursera in August 2018. Additionally, Chirag Chadha completed the "Parallel Computing with Dask" course from DataCamp in August 2018 and the "Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree" from Udacity in July 2018.
