Lisa Michaud has a diverse work experience in the field of Computer Science and Natural Language Processing. Lisa currently works as a Product Director at Interactions LLC, where they are responsible for the product roadmap and vision of the Intelligent Virtual Assistant platform. Before that, they were a Senior Product Manager at the same company, where they oversaw the development of the Conversational AI solution.

Prior to joining Interactions LLC, Lisa had various roles at Aspect Software, including Director of Natural Language Processing and Senior NLP Architect. In these roles, they played a pivotal role in integrating NLP technologies into customer self-service technology and designing and deploying enterprise chatbots.

Lisa also has experience in academia, having worked as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Merrimack College, Saint Anselm College, and Wheaton College (MA). During their time in academia, they taught various courses in the field of Computer Science and published research in the field of Computational Linguistics (NLP).

Lisa then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware from 1998 to 2002.
