Eugenia Acuña

Affiliate Consultant & Trainer at Interaction Institute for Social Change

Eugenia Acuña, MPHE, ACC, (she/ella) is a consultant, ICF-certified coach and training facilitator.

For over 30 years, she has worked in public health, reproductive justice, staff development, and diversity, equity and inclusion, both in the United States, the Caribbean and in Latin America. She has experience working and leading in CBOs, educational institutions, and government agencies, and is a co-founder of Taller Salud (1979) in Puerto Rico, a feminist organization for women and adolescents, focusing on reproductive justice, gender violence prevention and access to health care.

As an affiliate consultant/trainer with Interaction Institute for Social Change, Eugenia provides training, consultation, and coaching to non-profit, educational, and government leaders, as well as community leaders, in collaborative leadership, race equity, and on community engagement. She is part of IISC’s racial equity coaching team.

Eugenia also works with Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility, training and coaching educators to integrate Social Emotional Learning in public schools in New York City. And she has a private coaching practice and also provides workshops on addressing inner balance, stress and anxiety, in the US, Puerto Rico and Chile.

Eugenia holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health Education from the University of Puerto Rico (1981) and studied at Columbia University under the Revson Fellows Program (1996). Eugenia is trained in Internal Family Systems (2019) and brings these skills to provide trauma-informed coaching and training.

In her work, Eugenia brings a life-long commitment to social justice and to supporting leaders to act on their true power, intuition, values and vision.
