Alex Henthorn-Iwane has a strong background in marketing, with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Alex started as a Senior Director of Product Management at CoSine Communications in 2002, followed by a role as Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Packet Design Inc. from 2004 to 2013. Alex then served as Vice President of Marketing at Quali from 2013 to 2015. At Kentik, they were the Vice President of Marketing from 2015 to 2017, where they built the demand generation, PR, AR, social media, and marketing operations. Alex later led product marketing at ThousandEyes as the Vice President of Product Marketing from 2017 to 2020, and during this time, the company experienced significant growth. Alex then joined Sinefa as the Vice President of Marketing from 2020 to 2021, where they led the marketing efforts of the startup to a successful acquisition. At PacketFabric, they served as the Chief Marketing Officer from 2021 to 2022, overseeing the development of marketing strategies and successful product launches. Alex also acquired and integrated Rstor as part of the company's expansion plans. Alex Henthorn-Iwane's most recent roles include Vice President of Marketing at Firstbase from 2022 to 2023, where they built marketing systems, databases, branding, and various other marketing efforts from scratch. Currently, they hold the positions of Fractional CMO and Startup Advisor at both yntent and Inter.link.
Alex Henthorn-Iwane attended Punahou School, where they obtained a Degree in Ka Punahou Ohana. Later, they studied French Literature at the University of California, Berkeley, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. Alex also holds a certification of Startup Marketing Badassery from the Institute of Startup Life Experience.
