Matt Motyl, Ph.D., currently serves as a Research & Policy Resident Fellow at Integrity Institute and a Subject Matter Expert at Duco, while also acting as a Senior Advisor for the Psychology of Technology Institute. Previously, Matt worked as a Senior Staff Quantitative Researcher at Meta, where over 100 empirical studies on user experiences were designed and executed. Additional roles include Research Fellow at NYU Stern School of Business and Research Director at Civil Politics, a nonprofit co-founded with Jonathan Haidt and Ravi Iyer, focusing on promoting constructive dialogue. Matt has held the position of Executive Director and Research Director at the Constructive Dialogue Institute, overseeing significant research projects and securing over $4.3 million in grant funding. With a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Virginia, Matt has a rich background in academia, including an assistant professorship at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where over 200 studies led to numerous publications and presentations.
