Allyson Vail

Consultant/lead Faculty Coach at Instructional Empowerment

Allyson Vail has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Allyson is currently working as a Consultant/Faculty Coach at Instructional Empowerment since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Hillsborough County Public Schools for a significant portion of their career. At this organization, they held various roles including District Resource Teacher Title I School Improvement from July 2020 to July 2022, Instructional Mentor from July 2016 to June 2020, Peer Evaluator from June 2014 to June 2016, Mathematics Instructor/Department Chair from February 2008 to June 2014, and Data Processor from August 2005 to February 2008. Before joining the public school system, they worked at TLC Laser Eye Centers as an Administrative Coordinator, Patient Consultant, Financial Administrator, and Certified VISX Laser Operator from January 2002 to July 2004.

Allyson Vail earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education in the years 2012-2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Culture from the New York Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2007. Before their bachelor's degree, they attended Florida State University from 1997 to 1999, where they pursued an English Major and a Spanish Minor. Allyson also obtained an Associate of Arts degree from Tallahassee Community College from 1995 to 1997. Allyson completed their high school education at H.B. Plant High School from 1991 to 1994, where they obtained a Diploma.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Allyson Vail earned a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021.
