Alexis Cruz-Rodriguez is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in academia and public service. Currently serving as the Editor of the magazine "Ciencia, Economía y Negocios" and as a Professor at Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo since November 2019, Alexis also holds the position of Vice Minister of Economic and Social Analysis at Ministerio de Economía, Planificación y Desarrollo since February 2017. Previous roles include Director of the Economic and Social Analysis Advisory Unit at the same ministry and various academic positions, including Coordinator of Master's programs at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. Alexis has also held significant roles in international diplomacy and financial analysis with the Dominican Republic's embassies in the United Kingdom and at Banco Estado de Chile, alongside a research position at CEPAL. Alexis's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Surrey and advanced degrees in Financial Economics and Creative Writing.
