Silvia Iranzo has a degree in Economics. Since 1987, she has been a Trade Specialist and State Economist. She is also a member of the Banco de España Steering Group (on leave). She is currently an independent director of the listed company, INDRA, a member of its Nomination, Remuneration and Good Corporate Governance Committee, a director of IC-A (Instituto de Consejeros y Administradores - the Institute of Board Members and Directors, dedicated to good corporate governance), a member of the editorial board of the Economistas magazine (Professional Economists Association of Madrid), an economics lecturer at Colegio Universitario de Estudios Financieros (the University College of Financial Studies, CUNEF), an economics lecturer at Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (the Institute of Stock Market Studies, IEB), and member of the judging panel for the Princess of Asturias Award for Social Sciences 2018.
She has been an independent director of the listed company, TECNOCOM, a member of its Nomination and Remuneration Committee, Spanish ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Secretary of State for Trade, Chairwoman of ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, Chairwoman of Invest in Spain, Banco de España’s Head of Country Risk, and member of the Board of Directors of Banco Exterior UK, CESCE, Telefonica Internacional, Naviera Mallorquina, Cabitel, and Eria.
