Taylor Ferrick is a Radiocarbon technician within the Labs and Collections Department. Taylor specialises in radiocarbon sample processing and handling as well as line maintenance in the Rafter Radiocarbon Laboratory. Taylor is passionate about atmospheric science and involves himself in the discussions of the science around radiocarbon and the carbon cycle as they have environmental economic, and social benefits for New Zealand. During the various lockdowns during 2020 and 2021 Taylor was busy collecting grass samples and was heavily involved in the lab work processing these samples which won an excellence award in citizen science.
