Chris Penty is a highly experienced Freelance Sound Engineer with a diverse portfolio of roles across various esteemed venues and organizations. Since June 2012, Chris has been self-employed, working as a live sound engineer for music and spoken word events. Current positions include Audio Visual Technician at Whitechapel Gallery and Tate, Sound Engineer at Kings Place Music Foundation, Union Chapel UK, Heaven Nightclub, and Vortex Jazz Club, along with Audio Technician duties at PSAV. From November 2016 to present, Chris also serves as a Sound Engineer at the Institute of Contemporary Arts and was the Head Technician at Free Word until May 2021, delivering AV technical support for live events. Chris holds a BA in Music and Hispanic Studies from The University of Sheffield, completed in 2010, and possesses A Levels from St. Bernards Convent, completed in 2005.
