Rina Desai is an experienced development professional with a strong background in grant management and program development. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Development at the Institute for Local Self-Reliance since January 2025, Rina previously held the position of Senior Foundations Officer at Action Against Hunger | ACF-USA, focusing on securing funding for humanitarian-development programs. Rina's extensive career includes roles such as Director of Grants & Program Development at the Carter Burden Network, where leadership responsibilities included programmatic oversight and strategic direction, and previous roles in grant writing and research at various organizations, including the NYC Department of Correction and Sheltering Arms. Rina holds an M.A. in Geography and a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Binghamton University.
