Marc Janeras has extensive experience in geological engineering and risk management. Currently, Marc serves as the Head of Unit of Geological Engineering and Risk at the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya since January 2014. Previously, from December 2006 to December 2013, Marc held the position of Head of Department for Projects and Works in Geological Engineering at GEOCAT Gestió de Projectes SA, which succeeded RSE Aplicaciones Territoriales SA where Marc worked on similar projects from June 2002 to December 2006. Early in the career, Marc gained valuable experience through a training position at the Highways Office of the Departament de Política Territorial i Obres Públiques - Generalitat de Catalunya. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate in Projects and Works Management and a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
