Kristy Owens began their work experience in 2003 at Cass Plastics Recycling in Newbern, TN, where they held the role of Human Resources/Safety Manager until 2008. In 2008, Kristy Owens joined Insteel Industries, Inc in an unknown role, and their employment there is ongoing.

Kristy Owens attended the University of Tennessee at Martin from 1992 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Accounting.
