Jose Gomez Castaño has a diverse work experience starting in 2004 as the Responsible for Application Development at Grupo Carralón. Jose then worked as a consultant at Garben from 2005 to 2012. From 2009 to 2012, they served as the Director of Information Systems at Sellyourself. Jose worked as a consultant in Systems Information at Logytel from 2012 to 2014 and as a consultant of Railway Information Systems at Soluciones Integrales de Formación y Gestión Structuralia S.A. from 2007 to 2014. From 2000 to 2018, Jose worked at ADIF, first as a Technical Manager in Informatics and later in the Human Resources department. Jose collaborated as a Geographical Information Systems collaborator at Departamento de Astrofísica y CC de la Atmósfera - UCM from 2013 onwards. From 2018, they became a member of Data For Road Safety WG2 and WG3 at European Commission. Jose also served as a member of the SRTI Data Task Force at European Commission from 2018 to 2021. Jose joined Inspide in 2014, where they held various roles including CTO and VP of Managed Services before becoming the CSO. Currently, since 2022, Jose is the Project Manager for the national connected car platform DGT3.0 at Plataforma nacional de coche conectado DGT3.0.

Jose Gomez Castaño earned a Master's degree in Corporate Networks and Systems Integration from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed their 4th year in Physical Sciences, specializing in Physics and Astronomy, at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. from 1990 to 1995.
