Marcela Vergara has over 25 years of work experience in the medical field. Marcela is currently working as the Sr. Medical Director at Insmed Incorporated since February 2021. Prior to that, they were the Director of Clinical Sciences at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from July 2017 to February 2021. Marcela also served as the Global Program Medical Director at Sandoz from April 2015 to June 2017. Before joining Sandoz, they held various roles at Novartis, including Associate Global Program Medical Director, Senior Medical Scientific Expert, and Medical Scientific Expert. Marcela's earlier experience includes working as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, heading the Pediatric Dialysis Unit, at both Mount Sinai School of Medicine and North Shore-LIJ Health System. Marcela began their career as a Fellow at The Mount Sinai Hospital.

Marcela Vergara obtained their Bachelor's degree in Commerce Sciences from Escuela Superior de Comercio Carlos Pellegrini from 1979 to 1984. Following this, they pursued a degree in Medicine from the University of Buenos Aires, completing their MD from 1985 to 1990.
