Mackenzie Michaels is a research analyst supporting Westat Insight projects in the health division. She has a background in economics, public policy, psychology, statistics, and data analytics.
Mackenzie supports projects for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, including the State Performance Standards System, the Long-Term Care Survey Process, and Integrated Care for Kids. She specializes in statistical and data analysis using SAS, Stata, R and SPSS.
Earlier, Mackenzie was a graduate research assistant at DePaul University, where she produced reports, literature reviews, data visualizations, and statistical analyses. She holds an M.S. in economics and policy analysis from DePaul University.
