Lashawn Richburg-Hayes

VP, Education at Insight Policy Research

Lashawn Richburg-Hayes leads Insight’s work in education, which is principally focused on finding ways to improve academic outcomes among at-risk and vulnerable students. Prior to joining Insight, she was the director of MDRC’s Young Adults and Postsecondary Education policy area, which focused on conducting randomized controlled trials of innovative interventions geared to improve academic success and graduation rates among low-income students in community colleges and open and broad-access 4-year universities.

In her former position, she was also the project director and co-principal investigator of the Behavioral Interventions to Advance Self-Sufficiency (BIAS) project and a co-principal investigator of the BIAS Next Generation project, both sponsored by the Administration for Children and Families of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Richburg-Hayes earned a B.S. degree from the Industrial and Labor Relations School of Cornell University. She received her Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University.
