Katya Scanlan is a senior editor with more than 19 years of editing, writing, design, and print production experience. At Insight, Katya is responsible for editing and proofreading a wide range of print and electronic materials for Insight’s clients and ensuring compliance with government standards and style guides.

Katya’s professional experience includes editorial positions at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Academy for Educational Development (AED). At SHRM, she managed the copy-editing function for SHRM’s Knowledge Division and was responsible for editing a variety of materials, including research reports, white papers, infographics, marketing materials, and presentations. At AED, she provided editing, writing, and graphic design support to projects for the Office of National Drug Control Policy, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the U.S. Agency for International Development. Katya holds a B.A. in mass communications from the University of South Dakota and is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian.
