Sebastian Scheurer is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics, with a career spanning various academic and industry roles. Experience includes positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Research Assistant, and PhD Student at Insight SFI since October 2015, along with part-time lecturing in Data Mining at University College Cork in early 2019. Prior roles at University College Cork from January 2016 to May 2018 involved assisting in teaching advanced Data Structures and Algorithms, along with guiding postgraduate students in Data Mining. Earlier professional experience includes software development for Munster Rugby, where a fitness data collection system was designed, and web development at Diwa Verlag before pursuing higher education. Sebastian holds a PhD in Computer Science, an MSc in Data Science and Analytics, and two BSc degrees in Information Technology Management and Computing Science from institutions in Ireland.
