Maikel Ruiz has been working in the tech industry since 2014. Maikel started as a Web Developer at Caminalta UG, then became a Software Developer at Divine Solutions LLC in 2015. In 2017, they joined GoCo.io, Inc. as a Software Engineer and then moved on to ComboCurve in 2019, where they have held the roles of Principal Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, and Full Stack Engineer.

Maikel Ruiz obtained an Engineer's degree in Informatics from the University of Holguín in 2016. Maikel also holds a certification from the Association for Computing Machinery as a contestant in the ACM-ICPC 2014 Caribbean Regional Contestant.
