In 1992, Kim Getgen enrolled at Wake Forest University and pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science. Kim completed their undergraduate studies in 1994.
After obtaining their BA, Kim went on to study at the University of Oxford. From 1996 to 1998, they pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in International Development Studies.
