Afshan Khan is currently a Portfolio Executive in the Hardware Sector at Innovation Works. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Focal Point Products, an international manufacturer and distributor of polyurethane millwork building materials for home construction, commercial projects, and building renovation. Khan was responsible for all aspects of company operations including strategy development and execution, manufacturing, distribution, international supply chain, sales and marketing, finance, and administration.

Before their time at Focal Point Products, Khan worked as a Principal Business Development at Xerox Corporation where they led and/or coordinated merger projects, acquisition targets, divestiture activity, and new business development from Xerox’s research and development initiatives.

Khan began their career as a Senior Financial Consultant at Peterson Consulting in 1986. Afshan has a long history of experience in finance and strategic planning.

Afshan Khan has an MBA in finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business, as well as a BSc in business administration with a focus in economics from Duquesne University.

Afshan Khan reports to Mike Formica, MD, Hardware & AlphaLab Gear. They work with and Jessi Mazzoni - Program Manager, AlphaLab Gear.
