Ángel Gurría is a renowned world leader who served as Secretary-General of the OECD from 2006 to 2021. At OECD, he worked directly with the G20, G7, APEC, and other international leadership groups, advancing inclusive growth and new approaches to global economic and health challenges. Mr. Gurría came to the OECD following a distinguished career in public service in his native México, including positions as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Finance and Public Credit in the 1990s.
