Hugh O' Brien is currently a Supply Chain Technician at InnaLabs. Hugh has previously worked as a Quote Material Analyst at Realtime Technologies and as a Buyer at Benchmark Electronics.

Hugh was hired on a 3 month contract to aid with a number of large customer quotations at Realtime Technologies. Hugh's responsibilities included sourcing materials and negotiating best possible pricing. Hugh liaised internally with Engineering and externally with end-customers, brokers and vendors to achieve this.

Once the quotations were complete, Hugh moved on to some day-to-day general purchasing and further material sourcing and quotation. The array of services / products provided by Realtime provided challenging and eye-opening assignments.

At Benchmark Electronics, Hugh's responsibilities included analysing Benchmark reporting systems and liaising with Planning & Production departments to estimate procurement needs and requirements. Hugh also represented the company in making negotiations and contracts with suppliers. Hugh co-ordinated & communicated with SBEs regarding new quotations, monitored vendor pricing and ensured that internal financial systems reflected relevant pricing. Hugh also monitored and advised on corporate reporting. Hugh liaised with the Finance department with regard to correcting any irregularities with vendor invoicing and they monitored stock levels and cycle count results. Towards the end of their time in Benchmark, Hugh also aided in the shipping process i.e. arranging transports, transactions, paperwork and customer notifications.
